Holy cow! I haven't posted anything in this blog since last year!

Wow, this was like a time-capsule to come through here and read these posts from last year.

I have come a long way in a year. I've figured out sooo much about the publishing business in one year, and it's incredible to read some of the insights I had a year ago. I was just on the verge of figuring out how to break into the business...

Well, I now have a literary agent. I received the author-agent agreement yesterday in the mail.

It is amazing to see how far I've come in a year, and it really makes me wonder where I'll be a year from now.

Probably the biggest realization that I had in the past twelve months was that I had to get an agent, and I just forced myself to get out there and do it. During January and March 2005, I sent out 72 literary agency queries. It only takes one, though, and I feel very lucky. We've worked by phone and email for the past month to revise Claws.

And she's gonna pitch it to publishers like in the next two weeks. So, it'll be interesting to see what comes of that. We have a lot confidence in the manuscript.

Well, enough for now. Hopefully, it won't be another year before I post another blog in here.:)
